Priti Patel’s informed criticism of her colleagues’ ‘rogue behaviour’ yesterday reminded me of the epic of her heavily tracked flight home for her ritual sacking

Her criticism was certainly informed – in as much her own ‘rogue behaviour’was worse – conducting private unauthorised diplomacy in a sensitive region

Her journey home for formal defenstration at No.10 was an epic . Worryingly I was left with the feeling  that rather than being ashamed she delighted in having the spotlight on her.
